inez valencia granada. born on the outskirts of one of the richest towns in brazil, inez's family didn't quite fit in. they were those that were considered poor, although not many people in brazil are rich, but as the americans would say, they were ``dirt poor``. they got by just fine, and inez was always gracious that she grew up the way she did because it was where she learned all of her morals, all of the things important to her. she is very close with her family, even though she was seperated from them for almost a year. through work, inez was able to support her family and bring them over to the united states, though her parents accepted the offer and later on decided it just wasn't for them. but here's the story on why inez came to hamton university:
 when she was 14 years old, inez and her friends hung out at the mall a lot. she was dragged into every designer store around, always looking but never buying. her friends were from inside of the rich town and had the money to shop where they did, places such as gucci, prada, fendi, and yes they have places like this in brazil. well, one day, inez was sitting down on a bench outside of a store that her friends were in when she was approached by two modeling scouts. they said they had been looking at her and thought she had what it took to become big in the united states. being family orientated, inez took these scouts back to her house where her and her family sat down and discussed everything. ofcourse her parents weren't too well spoken in english, so inez had to translate. the end result of that conversation was that inez was leaving, alone, to go to new york city with these scouts, where she was thrown into a world so different from the laid back life she was leading. in new york city, inez blew up. every company around wanted to use her for their campaigns and all of the money she recieved was put aside and saved, until she had enough to bring her mother and father up, as well as to buy them a house in new jersey. close to new york, but not quite there.
 once her family had settled in, inez registered for school, where she started attending hampton university. it was now the beginning of a new term and she was going to be heading into her second year of american college, a place she'd never imagine she would end up. inez had become what her old friends were like - the girl inside the rich town, as opposed to the outsider looking in, although her attitude was not the same as theirs. even though her surroundings have changed, inez is still the same sweet girl on the inside.
